Does Oculus Rift work with 11th Gen Intel Core i5-11400F ??

A completely confused older sibling has arrived!

I am new to all this VR prepping stuff, and I have been looking everywhere for answers to this.

The USB cables of the Rift itself and the sensors are recognized in the Oculus app. It is just the HDMI cable that will not be recognized, no matter what I do. As of writing this post, I have updated my intel and NVIDIA drivers, updated my computer, made sure Windows Defenders Firewall hadn't messed with it, used a HDMI to USB port, and even uninstalled and reinstalled the Oculus app.
Nothing.

I finally found the rift compatibility tool online, and everything checked out except for the processor.
To quote it, "We don't recognize your processor."

My PC is a CYBERPOWERPC - C Series.

Listed below is some specs of my PC, copied from the Compatibility Tool:

Processor 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-11400F @ 2.60GHz 2.59 GHz

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060
Windows 10 64-bit (Win+R winver revealed that my pc is Windows 11. Don't know if that makes a difference.)
Installed RAM 8.00 GB (7.87 GB usable)

I would just like to know if the Rift can work with this or not.

If I have to get a new AMD driver or whatever as a last resort, so be it.

(If there are any suggestions for this PLEASE tell me, I have only dissected a PC once lol)

Thank you for reading this, hopefully I'll get an answer soon!

@ichikaa  First of all make sure you’re connecting your cv1 hdmi to your rtx2060 hdmi port, not your motherboard port.

it would be best if you can rollback to win10 but off this isn’t possible go to your oculus desktop pc app and go to settings, beta tab and enroll in the public test channel beta (v41).  This is supposed to be a little more win11 friendly.

Also check that your gpu hdmi port is ok by seeing if it will connect properly with a monitor.

Take your cv1 facial interface off and disconnect then reconnect your cv1 cable.

If all still doesn’t work you could just have a faulty cv1 cable and you’re then kinda out of luck since replacements are almost impossible, and/or too expensive to buy.

Hey ichikaa, thanks for providing so much information here. We are happy to help you get your Rift all set up with your PC.

From the specs you provided, it looks like your processor and GPU should both be good to work with your Rift! When it comes to the version of Windows you're running, we'd like to give you some more info here. Windows 10 is fully supported, and we just released beta support for Windows 11 with our most recent update, so there may still be a few little hiccups if you're running on Windows 11.

It does look like you've tried most of our go-to troubleshooting steps already, so what we'd suggest here is sending us a support ticket here with a copy of your Oculus logs. That way our team can take a closer look at your set up, and we can help get everything up and running for you and your siblings to get in the awesome world of VR!
