Tried to go through chat support but as always it's fairly useless as it seems the employees have no clue about Meta's own policies.
Someone who actually might know, does the out of warranty program allow for getting the 2 year warranty plus on a replacement headset? Or does the headset need to be purchased (either new or refurbished). My understanding was that any replacement headsets are treated differently (especially since they come with a reduced warranty of 90 days rather than 1 year, whereas refurbished ones get 1 year).
Is there a link confirming or denying the availability of buying this additional warranty. I am trying to replace a busted headset but dealing with support and trying to figure out meta's policies, I'm on the verge of not even bothering.

This is not an official answer, so you may not want to accept it.
There has never been, in my experience, any company that would ever allow you to add extended warranty to a device that was a replacement for an out of warranty replacement of a device.
If that was allowed you could technically have a warranty that would never end. Have an issue, report it, get it replaced. Then get the warranty after the device is replaced out of warranty and get it replaced again for the lower warranty cost. That business model would bankrupt a company.
