Does oculus recommend the Inateck USB regardless of your mobo?

Is it better to have it regardless if it says that it is OK with your mobo.

You may or may not actually needed the add-on card (depending on how compatible your motherboard is) but it can never hurt. Assuming you have the space in your build for a PCI-E card, you might as well just get it. You could always use more USB ports.

Is there a way to test the imput output speed of the sensors or is it just 'OK'
I have 9 already, 6 at the back and 3 on the top of my case.

As far as I remember, sensors are ok even with USB 2.0, it's the general compatibility(i.e. the magic "can this particular MB model can handle the oculus" factor) which might be a problem. If you're hesitant to buy the USB controller and have enough USB ports, just try it out and see if it will work. You can always buy the USB controller later. I did exactly that myself: oculus is working flawlessly with my MB but with two USB ports used by keyboard & mouse and 3 more used by oculus I'm left with only two front ports and one back port available. Feels a bit crowded, especially given I am planning to buy a 3rd sensor.

Speed is not important, but you can run the compatibility tool to test the hardware.
