games like FSX and all old FPS shooters like Aliens vs Predator
having full 6 DOF with 3D Support would be great
I'm sure if devs resurrected those games and put them in a steam 6 DOF/3D Oculus full support
it would sell again!
I'm pretty sure super old games never sell anymore much unless they are played on friends pcs but I find many people like stuff that was old because they never saw it before
like old vids that had a couple thousand views now have millions on youtube from years ago
even some games that get front page on steam like the 2D multiplayer planes games
there's many ideas that EXIST that people who have them don't bother making it into common like Angry Birds have done now they have candy and plush toys
It's ridiculous because Call of Duty went console and took like full FPS market share
they even beat super developed games that cost $50 after now worth like $5 yet COD is still worth $20
Lots of new people join the internet gaming community and see what is out of what is on the market from good current marketing but lots of old stuff that they didn't know about they don't play because they don't know it exist
It's still kind of amazing where some people havn't even tried Battlefield and Planetside 2
even Dota 2
I played League of Legends.. the community for that probably higher than Dota 2 but I think Dota 2 is so much better in graphics, art, and performance
if I just touched League and assumed all games like League are the same I wouldn't play.. I mean I played Dota 2 in the beginning cause a friend gave it to me and thought it was bad but I got used it now it's all I play
The potential customer pool is so high with certain things made previously
letting stuff die is so stupid..
I hope the 3DS tech that Nintendo got off someone that sued them that presented the tech to them but said they didn't want but they used it so Nintendo has to pay 3% to him just doesn't say 3DS with low res but it seems like it will stay like that forever unless someone can do something about that and make it into the practical world OUTSIDE "gaming"
