Hello, I have bought inward and tried to play it, but when I try to download it, it keeps on saying download failed, I even tried restarting and shutting down my quest 2, but the problem still occurs. There is just a spinning circle where I should be able to download it at. I want to try everything before I do a factory reset is there anything I can do?

Hey there! We wanna help get this game installed on your headset, we understand your concerns on performing a factory reset but rest assured we have you covered with a way to save all your data.

We suggest enabling the Oculus Cloud Backup feature on your headset, check it out here https://metaque.st/CloudBackup. Once enabled, perform the factory reset to completely clear your headset.

Once completed you can set up your headset once more and continue to download your game. Still, need help after performing these steps? Please submit a ticket here https://metaque.st/Support and we'd be glad to further research this for you!

Howdy there @coleen.hilgendorf.39, we were just skipping on by and noticed you are needing a bit of help with a game not downloading. Being able to play a game your anticipating can be fun and amazing, and we understand how important this is for your VR experience. We would love to do all that we can to assist you on this matter!

So that we can figure this out with you, can you please let us know of the following:

  • How much space does your headset have let to download games/apps?
  • Is this happening with any other apps or games?
  • Is your headset connected to the Wi-Fi 5 GHz band?

In the meantime, can you try a hard reboot to see if it helps:

  1. Turn off your headset completely.
  2. Hold the power and volume (-) button on your headset down simultaneously until the boot screen loads on your headset.
  3. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Boot Device and press the power button.
  4. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Yes and press the power button.

We hope to hear from you soon!

I have the same exact problem. I even hard rebooted. My headset factory resetted it. It's still doing the same exact thing.

Hello @Doody_vr, we see you are having the same problems installing applications. Anything keeping you out of games is something to be investigated, and we would love to see about getting this resolved for you. Thank you for attempting a factory reset, could you provide the following so we can review further:

  • Does your headset have enough space for the game in question? (Older 64gb headsets can run out of space quickly)
  • Is this happening with any other apps or games?
  • Does this happen with another Wi-Fi network?
  • Is your headset connected to the Wi-Fi 5 GHz band?

We would love to look into this, and hope to hear from you soon!

Happening with all games after i have factory reset twice. i have booted twice. i have 117 gb of space bc i have factory reset and it isnt downloading any games. WIFI's perfect. yes my WIFI is 5GHz.

Hey there! Thanks for bringing this concern to our attention and the steps you've taken to get back up and running, @Liljesse16. We definitely want to get to the bottom of this, and would like to start by uninstalling the Meta Quest mobile app. From there, let's make sure that your phone software is fully updated and then redownload the mobile app.

Once signed back into the account, hold the power button on the headset for 30 seconds to allow it to reboot. If any issues continue, please let us know! We'd love to gather more details!
