Elite battery strap doesn't hold charge

Hi guys,

I have lots of problems with my Quest 2 hardware.

I have a Quest 2 (original 64gb) attached to the official battery elite strap, attached to the official Logitech Chorus speakers.

I'm on my 3rd elite strap due to breakages.... this one, charges (very slowly) once charged if I leave the quest 2 unused for a day or so it loses at least 30-40% charge per day

 

The Logitech Chorus also doesn't recognise first time and I have to unplug the elite strap, re plug it in, unplug the chorus, re plug it in, in that order for it to work.

 

These are official accessories. I don't see why it's such a nightmare?

Hey there, @J40NYR! We couldn't help but notice that you are reaching out because you are experiencing charging issues with your Elite Strap w/ Battery. We know how disappointing it can be when you encounter those types of issues as they can really affect your overall experience, so we want to provide some troubleshooting steps for you to try! 

General troubleshooting steps include:

  • Trying to flip the orientation of the charging cable into the Elite Strap with Battery. Unplug and turn over the plug and plug it back in.
  • Trying another outlet.
  • Making sure the Elite Strap with Battery hasn't suffered any damages recently (drop, punch, etc.)

Also, the Quest 2 will continue to draw power from the Elite Strap until this secondary battery is depleted. It is recommended that you unplug the Elite Strap from their headset when not in use, or else keep them plugged in to charge together. Please let us know if the above mentioned troubleshooting steps help to resolve your issue. We will be standing by just in case further assistance is needed!
