Purchased 2nd Quest 3 headset for my son that suddenly stopped working (first one returned to store). Will not complete boot and loops to loading screen. Several factory reset attempts. Exhausted battery.. Was barely used and treated perfectly. Reading about this happening to many.
Hey there, @incircles1975. Thank you for reaching out on the forums. Having a working headset is pretty important, especially when it comes to having a VR experience with friends and family. We would love to take a look into these issues for you to help you guys get going in VR together again.
One of the common reasons we see these issues pop up is actually related to an improperly fitted silicone cover for the facial interface. So for testing, please remove any silicone cover if you have one, and double check that nothing is blocking the proximity sensor. You may consider gently removing the facial interface entirely.

Thank you for the fast response. Interestingly I purchased a 3rd party vented cushion. Tonight I will reinstall the factory piece and try again. I will keep you posted.

Thanks for your patience. As I said I would do I removed the 3rd party cushion and replaced it with the original. It did not boot.
I see the Meta logo for about 40 seconds and then it fades away and comes back for about 3 seconds and the short pattern repeats over and over.
I removed the cushion all together and did a factory reset with the same exact results. It will not go further than this.
As I said this is the second one with the same problem. It is not cheap. It is maybe a month or 2 old (new from Amazon). How can you assist me? If it is replaced I certainly do not want a used one.
