Entire quest pretty much bricked.

My quest 2 is a paperweight right now. Games won't show up. None of the websites won't load. None of the apps or the store will load. Nothing in the settings have help. I've probably restarted and powered off the quest about 15 times with no result. My phone app cannot contact the quest at all and it just gives up after a while. I have no idea what to do as any other person talking about a similar problem I've had solved it with the app or with restarting.

I know it's probably not the option you want to do, but have you tried a factory reset? Since it sounds like the system is booting up, it's not a hardware issue. So a factory reset may fix things via wiping the system and reinstalling the OS as a clean slate.

It'll mean you have to set up the system from scratch, but it may help you recover it.

Lo, a quest! I seek the threads of my future in the seeds of the past.

That's the problem. I factory reset it about a week ago. Guess what though. Turns out you need a phone and the app connected to the quest for a factory reset. Which I said in the message that for some reason it doesn't work. So I can't factory reset it.

I have done all of these already with no result. None of these work.

Thank you for letting us know that nothing has helped resolved this issue. If you haven't done so already, please submit a support ticket with our team. One of our agents will be happy to look into your options. 👍

You do need a phone (doesn't have to be the same one) to set up the Quest again after the reset of course, but the actual factory reset can be done without a phone.

To perform a factory reset using the headset:
  1. 1.
    Turn off your headset.
  2. 2.
Hold the power and volume (-) button on your headset down simultaneously until the boot screen loads on your headset.
  3. 3.
Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Factory Reset and press the power button.
  4. 4.
Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Yes and press the power button.

A smart phone or a tablet. I use my Galaxy Tab A tablet rather then a phone.

I had this exact thing happen to me.  Support was nice enough to issue me an RMA number and FedEx box but I haven't received a replacement in over 2 months.  Good luck!

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
