Error OVR88948175 with multiple users on one PC

karel.muska.7

Hello,

I have a question about error OVR88948175.

I as admin have installed the Oculus app on 20 computers in my VR lab. My first login to the application went fine. Then a (first) student logged in on the same computer (without admin rights) and the oculus app login was also successful. However, when another student tried to log in on the same computer (from another windows account), the oculus application displayed error OVR88948175 and the student cannot continue.

I tried: creating registries, installing in another directory, setting directory access rights, but the error is still displayed…

How to solve it?

I manage a university's multi-user computer lab (Active Directory), and though the registry hack used to work before to solve the dreaded OVR88948175 error. even since the migration to Meta Horizon Accounts in January, which required an update to the Oculus app, the OVR88948175 error has returned and now the registry hack no longer works.

I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling, repairing, changing the install location, and of course, the registry hack, but nothing is working to solve the dreaded OVR88948175 error.

We own a dozen Oculus devices that are now completely unusable with the Oculus app, and it has horribly derailed our coursework.

Please fix!

I solved it with the following command sent with the command prompt in administrator mode

REG ADD "HKCU\Software\Oculus VR, LLC\Oculus\Libraries"

Same problem (OVR88948175) and solutions in articles don't work (registry, reinstall, etc.).
Collect logs link is broken - we need a SOLUTION, not just words and links to other articles, thanks!
