Hello all, basically since yesterday I've been getting this error message when trying to purchase a game. It is also doing the same on my brother's account. I get this message when using the app, web browser and headset. Is there a solution or is this account basically useless for buying games now? I have a meta quest 3 on the most recent update. Thanks everyone
Update to add I've spoken to meta about this via live chat and 3 advisors basically said get someone else to buy it and game share- not a practical solution at all- with the final advisor I've tried actually saying they will look into the issue. Just wondered if anyone else is getting this issue

Yes and support will do absolutely nothing to solve this issue except blame your financial institutions over and over and over again. Their Quest Cash won’t even work to purchase anything.

I encountered the same problem. I tried three different credit cards, but none of them worked.

I can't buy games with my credit card, Quest Cash, or gifts from friends. I've contacted customer service and they handled it twice, saying it was resolved, but I still can't buy it. I'm very frustrated.

Basically spent a fees days back and forth with meta customer support. Turned out their system was trying to request ID verification bit I had already done that last year. So the system got stuck in a loop of trying to request ID, seeing it's already verified then trying to request verification again. Don't know what they did on their end but they did eventually sort it after a week or so.

What error message is it giving you? I've found that I cannot buy through the app unless gifting a game and that almost all my own purchases have to be started through the headset and then confirmed via the app.

Definitely sounds like an ID verification issue on their end.
Is how I approached support. I think it's an issue they are quietly aware about
