Several months ago my account was hacked. I have since gotten the account back with one caveat: I am required to check for a notification on another device. One being a cell phone that I have NEVER owned and the other being a windows PC that is clearly not mine.
I have done that part. I can login to my account with the password, it then wants to send a verification code to either the phone I don't have or a windows pc that is not mine.
If I click "Try Another Way" it gives me 2 options: 1. Send a verification (which creates a loop) or 2. Use an Authenticator app which I cannot setup until I get logged in.
I have reported the account hacked, I have done the Account Recovery. I am stuck at this point that wants to send the verification.
At Meta Quest Support we are limited in the tools we have access too. For Facebook issues, we can only direct you towards the Facebook help center as we would not have any tools to assist with Facebook queries directly.
You may want to use a friends account to try and process your appeal on your behalf with Facebook. This may help to get past this verification issue you are having with your FB account.
