Facing tracking issues in IB cricket with meta quest 3 currently on v69.

Hi ,

I have purchased meta quest 3 2 months back. I purchased it only to play IB cricket. in first month i was facing ball timing issues in game, so i thought it could be due to i am new to game.but after playing for 1 month. I came to realize that these are tracking issues with controller.  it works for few minutes after starting headset then it starts having the issues. i usually can't time the balls properly.bat flows in air some time.

and this issue is consistant after 15-20 min of game play. I had done reset through app as well reset true headset power button as stated in some communications. but nathing worked.I switch off any multiple color light in the room. playing completely in white light mounted over head. still tracking seems to be fine in initial 10 -15 min. then it starts behaving weird, I have to restart headset to fix this.

Hi @akki136, we're disappointed to hear you're not able to get the full immersive experience of the cricket pitch in your Meta Quest due to technical glitches and tracking issues. Therefore, here are some troubleshooting steps regarding controller tracking issues for you to try :

  • Ensure your area is well lit, with enough light to see clearly, but no direct sunlight
  • Ensure your area is free of small lights such as Christmas lights, or LED strips
  • Ensure your area is free of reflective surfaces such as mirrors, glass, or polished marble
  • Ensure the tracking cameras are clean
  • Ensure your environment is free of any obstructions between the tracking cameras and the controllers
  • Remove unsupported third-party accessories that may affect tracking or controller detection. For example, controller and headset covers, controller attachments, etc.
  • Remove the battery from the controller for 30 seconds
  • Try replacing the battery with a new one
  • Unpair and pair the controller to the headset
  • As a last resort, factory reset the device, if applicable

If the above steps are not helpful for you, feel free to get back to us.

you have not read it correct. i have checked and tested all your mentioned points because same response i saw in multiple other post as well.

1)I am playing in white light room and swtiched off any other light in room.

2)battery of controller is 100 % charged.

3)playing without any controller acessory.

4)I did hard reset quest 3-4 times controller 4,5 times and tested with 4 different batteries.

5) as reset was done 4.5 times so Unpair and pair is not in question.

all effort went in vein and it seems to be started with v69 update.

Issue exist and it seems to be controller issue. As controller of quest 3 has no ring of ir led.which has caused it's limited visibility to cameras. That is supposed to be meta design issue.
