Someone hacked in my sisters Facebook account and then tied a meta account with another email to her Facebook. Currently she has recovered her Facebook account but trying to get this meta account off of her Facebook but cannot because of the different email. This user added a bunch of meta pay accounts and shipping address that I recently removed but hoping on how to get this meta account unlinked from the Facebook account

I am running into this issue as well. Someone hacked my Facebook account and then created a Meta account and linked it to the hacked Facebook account. I can get into the Facebook account now but I can't unlock the Meta account from it because they created that with an email address I don't have access to. Is there anyway to disconnect the Meta account they made and linked to my Facebook account?

This happened to me too, but through my instagram account. I've been attempting to get this resolved for over a month now. Been in almost daily contact with some form of help/ support and still no closer to a solution. Also almost every day I'm seeing multiple new messages like this one - feels like this problem is becoming massively widespread.

This happened to me too, with my Messenger account. Impossible to get the hacker's account removed. Facebook is secured and so there's no way to report it within facebook. Meta say that it is not their problem, that it is a Facebook problem. No one will take ownership of the problem and I am going round in circles. It seems like a widespread problem - Meta please take note.

Hey @Laila521, we genuinely understand that you might expect to get Meta Quest Support in this issue as your Meta account was compromised however as much a we would want to provide assistance in this issue, we won't be able to do so as we do not posses the relevant resources for the same. As we deal only in Meta Quest related products and services, our suggestion for you would be to contact Facebook Help Support for the same.
We hope your issue is resolved as soon as possible!

This is all very well, but Facebook Support is no help as my FB account is secured and I've done all the steps suggested by FB help. The problem is that there is a fake Meta account linked to my FB account and no one will do anything to remove it or unlink it, so the scammers get away with doing anything they want. Who is responsible for dealing with Meta accounts? Please provide a link to someone who can help remove fake accounts. Or do we just let the scammers do anything they want now?

Hi, I did this yesterday and provided all the relevant information. I was told that it would be sent to your accounts team who could unlink the account for me. But today I received an email saying that this was not a Meta problem and that I should contact Facebook. I keep going round in circles. Seriously, Meta, you need to sort this out - there are a lot of people in the same position and your platform is obviously being targeted succesfully by hackers.
