Greetings Meta community. Recently I setup 2 of our daughters in the Family Center and wanted to give some feedback on the experience. Creating the accounts and adding them to devices was fairly straight forward, although it seemed like we had to add them twice, once to each device, then again the first time we attempted to switch accounts. Each time we had to enter a code on a web site.
Two more issues that we encountered. We own a Quest 2, Quest Pro, and Quest 3. When trying to share apps so that I could play a game with the 2 girls, the system only allows sharing of apps on 1 device. Does this mean that we need to purchase a game again so that the three of us can play?
The other issue was that when the girls would request permission to an app, I would get an email. When I followed the link in the email, the Family Center would show that the user had permission for the app, with the only available option was to click on a Block button (did nothing). But in the headset still showed that she did not have permission to play. We probably spent two hours trying to solve this before we eventually tried the Meta Ouclus iPhone app, where I could approve apps in the Notifications area. It would be nice to know that the web site does not have the functionality to approve apps. Would have saved us a lot of time had we known to use the iPhone app for approval. Hope that this feedback helps.

Hey @dblake3rd! We really do appreciate your feedback about our parental controls, and the experience you've had so far with your 2 daughters! It's always an amazing feeling to see the world of VR unite families together like this, so they can experience a new type of fun together! We're always looking for ways to improve the parental controls we have, and the ease-of-use for all of our parents out there. If you haven't already, we recommend checking out our ideas page to see if this is something another parent has already suggested! If not, we highly encourage you to make a suggestion post of your own. We've seen our engineering and development teams pluck certain, high-traction ideas and implement them into the software before!
It sounds like there's been a miscommunication somewhere about how our app sharing feature works, so we'd love to clarify a bit more about it! It sounds like you're trying to share apps between devices. With app sharing, the admin account of the headset can choose to share their account library to other accounts across that particular device. An account can only share their apps to one device at a time. To be more precise about our answer, you can share your apps to one headset, which both of your daughters could play on, but if they want to use those same apps on the other headset, they would need to be purchased again. You can find more info about app sharing on our page here!
Hope this helps, and let us know if you have any other questions or issues. We'd be more than happy to help out!
