Had my Rift S since launch and it has worked perfectly on the same rig since that date, but....
Last week, (and every time since then), I put on the headset, I see the Oculus logo for 2-3 seconds, and then Passthrough is displayed for 2-3 seconds, then the passthrough image flickers on and off for 5 seconds and then everything goes black.
This repeats in a cycle every 30 seconds. I also get a windows popup notification that states "You headset is not funtion properly" - no **bleep** Sherlock!!
The headset is now unusable in Dash/Home or any oculus game. the odd thing is, If I use SteamVR, the headset works better and so long as there is not too much white in the image, the flickering is almost bearable. (it flickery, but bearable)
As soon as there is more than 20-30% white on the screen, the the flickering becomes unbearable.
Also, the headset does not crash when using SteamVR, but as soon as I close the steam game and I'm returned to Oculus dash, the tracking flickers again locks up and the headset returns to a black screen and the oculus service in windows need to be restarted. So the issue seems to be with Dash or Home crashing.
Headset Firmware version 2.2.1
Oculus Software version 30.0.0.36.502 (30.0.0.36.502)
NVidia drivers updated to latest
I have opened a ticket with Oculus support, but am not holding out much hope of a fix, the support engineer started by telling me how to reboot my Quest 2, even though I stated at the very beginning it was a Rift S!
Anyone else had this issue?
Know of a fix?
I've tried all the usual Restart Oculus service, Restart PC, Reseat headset cable, Different USB Ports, Different Display ports on GPU, Power setting on USB, Update all drivers, Roll back to previous drivers, Reinstall oculus software, but all to no avail, the issue is constant no matter what I change
Its basically useless at the moment, and really would like to get this working again.

UPDATE!
I have my Rift S back working as it shoud.
Kudos to Oculus Support for the following steps:-
Note: You MUST follow the step exactly. Don't skip the boot into Safe mode, it wont work if you do. (I know, I tried!)

For Oculus's developers, I have to say that I have the same problem.
oculus_dash.exe crashes after 2-3 seconds after entering, and SteamVR works well if it is run separately.
I guess, the problem appears after one of Windows updates.
