For those who are having trouble with their payment methods. Try doing this.

Maybe Meta has accidentally disabled your account to protect you from making purchases. At this point I've tried EVERYTHING. Try this as a last resort. If nothing contact your Better Business Bureau and your FTC for future help.

Hey there @shanetography! We definitely want for you to be able to update your saved payment methods! We have some troubleshooting steps you can try here:

 

  1. Try deleting the existing payment method before adding a new one.
  2. Try to add a payment method to the account from the Meta Quest mobile app
  3. Try adding the payment method from another device completely (another computer, phone, or tablet.)
  4. Try adding the payment method from within virtual reality by using the headset.
  5. Try adding the payment method while connected to a different network (another Wi-Fi network or a cellular data connection on a phone, if available).
    • Some non-residential networks may cause this issue. (for example, business, public, government, military, etc.)
    • Certain network security settings may cause this issue, even on residential networks for example, antivirus, firewall, proxy, router-specific settings).

Well, have you tried it for yourself? Did it work? 

I tried. For some weird reason it keeps bringing me back to my Facebook page. So I don't know what's going on with Meta right now I don't work for them I'm only trying to help is all. My best bet is to keep complaining till they take a hint.

So, your Meta account is connected to your Facebook account?

I'm wondering if all the people having trouble purchasing in store have merged their Facebook account with the Meta account.🤔

I haven't merged my accounts and have no problems to buy anything.

The credit card on my Meta account has expired, so my subscriptions have been interrupted.  When I try to add a new card, I get the following pop up message: "Something went wrong.  We're having trouble completing your request. Please try again."  I've tried again, many times.  I've used multiple different cards--all valid with available funds.  I've checked, double checked, and triple checked the information I'm entering.  I've used multiple browsers.  I get the same error message every time.  I'd like to get my account back in order and back to normal.  Can you help?
