Who do we have to yell at to get this fixed? Link/AirLink are so bad for PCVR that I am unlikely to ever buy another Meta product. Here are some videos to cut to the chase.
Video 1: Pay attention to the hands. Notice the frame skips as the hands "jump." Quest 2 with Link has done this since release day. Smooth, rapid rotational motion causes these frame jumps, which may be due to latency with tracking feedback. Whatever it is, it's obnoxious and immersion breaking.
Video 2: This is an example of Link (AirLink does it too) randomly dropping frames and generally having all sorts of framerate issues regardless of performance headroom. Many, if not all, PCVR titles do this to some extent. Depending on how demanding the app is, it varies from a random dropped frame every 15-20secs to more severe issues like you see in this video. Nothing makes it go away completely.
Meta support -- don't bother trying to troubleshoot this with me. Trust me, I've already done everything:
Meta: fix your PCVR support!!! I've been a user since the Rift CV1 in 2017 and you've made such a mess of PCVR. We've had enough! Look at these other threads with the SAME PROBLEM:

I spent dozens of hours trying to resolve this issue, PCVR was great with a rift but I can't play since I bought a quest 2 in 2020... I invite Meta to upload a video without frame drop and to share the config but I think they don't use their product because the solution doesn't exist.

Exact same problem over here, i ONLY have Stutter when strafing/walking, not while standing still or rotating or moving with joystick!
Today i tried Airlink for the first time (coming from Link cable, no problem there) with dedicated wifi 6e Router directly and only connected to PC Gigabit Lan port with a cat8 ethernet cable.
Only 5ghz, 160mhz bandwidth set in the router itself, getting over 1,2Gb/s as seen in quest 2 home settings.
ODT 500Mbps encode bitrate (H.264) as before with link cable.
I also tried the "fix" to open the console window from ODT and focus on it but it made the stutter at most 10% less noticable. (could be placebo)
Please, if anybody know anything i could try to solve this TELL ME!
@MetaQuestSupport This Problem still persists!

Please don't PM @MetaQuestSupport they won't help you, and this is a public issue.

I agree, it's mostly a waste of time. All that is usually changing for me is the headset or app updating itself, and then some months later it is "magically" fixed. No issue on my side, tried to debug multiple times, tried reinstalling everything including OS multiple times. Resetting headset many times. Tried troubleshooting with and without support. Support can't even add to beta when beta is full. Even though that solves the problem sometimes.
Currently I have lags again via Airlink wihle moving my head, usualyl when doing it vertically. I am rotating steam link, virtual desktop and air link now. This time VD works okay.
It would be nice if we could simply downgrade to fixed versions, but neither the PC app nor the headset supports that. I could just save a last known state and roll back if something goes wrong. That would actually make difference.

Okay so to this day this is still an issue. I have lost my sanity trying to fix this for years now. I have built 3 pc's both with ryzen 7800x3d and i9 14700k and used 2060super, 3080ti and 4090. Disabled all rgb, stress tested every component. Even Unplugged all usb headers from my boards, stripped nvidia drivers to the minimum, capped frames, I could go on forever. I've been through your support and did every troubleshoot imaginable.
What this comes down to is cpu frame times. They hold for some time, sometimes seconds, sometimes minutes but you can go from 3ms to getting stuck at 13 briefly or for a few seconds, it varies, no matter the in game settings or resolution. Audio can also effect this frame time. If you are lucky and optimise the crap out of your settings, drivers and cap your frames in nvidia and match your monitors refresh rate, you can sometimes avoid the dip in some steamvr games like half life alyx. But anything openxr through airlink, link or VD and you get issues. VD causing the least amount of issues. I think the only avenue now is to burn my quest 2 and 3 and move on. The absolute best at marketing but the worst in development. You can have all the bells and whistles but if you can't provide a smooth experience what's the point? So 2k+ down later, I'm out.

Do you have blade and sorcery? Please can you test in VD, I get stutter in both steam and VDXR. I need to confirm that I'm not insane lol
