Game Downloads keep cancelling themselves on Quest 3

hi im having an issue when trying to download asgards wrath 2, im on q3, every time i try to download the game, the download stops and the asgards wrath icon goes back to install, i normally get between 100-600mb when it does this, the highest download i have got to is 18gb, i have restarted the quest and done a factory reset, there is plenty of space and i have tried different wifi networks. i can download and install other games just not this 1.

seems like it, iv managed to get steam link downloaded by tethering my quest to my phone, went to try another app but my quest was about to die, its charging atm. i think you are right certain times of internet its not liking, must be connected to v60 as mine was working fine before, or they have changed something with the servers at the same time. il try a vpn in the morning see if it works for me.

Hi @ObsidianLight did you say that your issue is only related to desktop VR and the Oculus desktop app?

Because that might be a completely different issue.

We are all experiencing this on mobile Quest headsets only from everything that has been said.

Both our Quest 3 and the oculus on PC.  Just for completeness sake, I took my quest 3 to work and connected it to my internet there and there was no problems.  So it has to do with my 4g hotspot internet at my house.

Ah perfect, thanks for the reply.....so it is 100% the 4g / 5g broadband that is the issue here.....no matter the country.

My installation never 'finished', but once I restarted, AW2 was there & seems to work fine.

It did give me motion sickness almost immediately, so was definitely worth all the hassle... 🙄

That aside, using the VPN does seem to be a useable workaround until it is fixed properly.

I had a Quest 3 with v60 and I am living in the UK and using the 5G broadband from Smarty. I can confirm that this downloading problem (downloading AW2 and other large file) exist with mobile broadband connection. The temporary solution for now is to sideload a VPN app (mine is Surfshark vpn) and install.

Having the same issue. Sounds like a lot of people are. Someone mentioned they think it's because the game was offered as part of the MQ3 purchase and now everyone is trying to download at once. Idk Sounds like it could be that, or an update. I hope they resolve it soon. Nobody seems to have a fix. Super frustrating

are you on mobile internet? a lot of us with this issue seem to be on 4g/5g hubs? and is it all downloads or just asgards wrath?

i tethered my phone to my headset again and tried this time it worked, mine to got stuck on installing. if a vpn is working for some reason meta must not like our isp’s atm, iv gotta respond to a meta email in a bit il point this out to them, while we have found a solution this isnt really good enough.

HI @Philthelove , from everything we have been able to find out over the past 3 days or so, this issue affects people who are on OS V60 and are also on 4G or 5G connections, including home 4G and 5G broadband.
