Game stuck in Pending downloads at 100% with no way to continue or cancel the install.

Hi there, I wonder if you guys can help. I have a game stuck at 100% in pending updates section in a permanent pause state. The play button and the X to continue or cancel the update are greyed out and if I go to my Library and find the game, I can't play or uninstall it. If I press the 3 dots, I get the option to resume or cancel the update, but both of these return error codes. Pressing resume gives me OVR21335597 - no new version exists (1971016), and if I press cancel I get OVR85798992 - not in a state which can be canceled (1971025). Any idea's as to how I can either remove the game completely so I can re-download it or give it a kick so it'll finish what it's doing?

Thanks in advance!

Not sure if this would work, but it should in theory, try:

close Oculus Home, stop Oculus Services

go to:

Oculus\Software\Software and remove any folders pertaining to the game

make sure there is nothing in:

Oculus\Software\Downloads
Oculus\Software\Staging

remove the manifests that belong to that game in (obviously only for that game, leave everything else)

Oculus\Software\Manifests

Double check if the game has created any folders in C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Local if it has remove them

Restart Oculus Services
Disable your antivirus temporarily

Open the Oculus app to see if it's still there, if not, re-download

Resume your AV

Obviously, if you have a customs games location set-up, check in there.

Yeah this is exactly what I was doing wrong. I thought I had already dumped all the files for this game in the Oculus files folder and Appdata, but I didn't realise there were also files in the second directory I have, even though it wasn't installed in that location. Once I'd deleted those I did a repair to the Oculus software and although it still LOOKS like it's stuck I was able to resume the download from the App page and it seems to have fixed it. Thanks for pointing what should have been obvious!

Much appreciated LZoltowski!

Excellent, can I mark this as solved so that others may find it useful?
