I purchased five nights at Freddy’s: help wanted and i go to check on it and it says install failed and won’t let me retry or uninstall it. I would appreciate if someone could help with this issue.

Hey Pluto1587. We know how frustrating it is when an app fails to install. We wish there was an easier way to correct this issue, but at this time the only solution is to perform a factory reset on your headset. Before resetting your device, please ensure the Cloud Backup feature is enabled so you can keep your data and progress saved.
If after this is done you do not see your recent progress, simply restart your headset and your progress should return.
We hope this helps resolve your issue. 🙏

Hey man, had same issue and I’ve managed to solve it using Sidequest and apk file of the app which I’ve got from my friend. You first need to use Sidequest to sideload custom game using apk file. The apk file can be exported using Sidequest. Than you need to login to your VR, uninstall the game and install it again. That’s it! That will result in a fully functional game without the need to use factory reset.

I have the same problem with a different game if I factory reset will all of my progress for other games be deleted?

Hey Cya081! A factory reset will delete all content from your headset. However, we do have a really awesome Cloud Backup feature that will allow you to keep your game data and progress saved! We'd recommend checking our public article about Cloud Backup so that you can make sure you have everything saved and good to go before a factory reset.

So to make sure if I factory reset with cloud backup on I'll keep all of my data and games

@MetaQuestSupport if cloud backup is on will I keep my data and games or just the data and do I need to buy my games again?

Hey cya081! All games will be tied to the account and will not need to be re-purchased, just re-downloaded on the headset! As for game data, only eligible apps will allow you to save game data from being erased from a factory reset. You can check what aps have the Cloud Backup feature enabled by completing the following steps:
Sign into the Oculus website > Go to your profile > Find the Cloud Backup tab on the left column > There you will be able to see which app you own are eligible for Cloud Backup!
Please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns!
