So. Just bought it, the quest two. Super excited and all... until I got to the bull**bleep** that is airlink with my wired gamepad. It's literally impossible to use. All I **bleep**ing wanted to do, was lay down and play ff14. But the second I tap the gamepad, it switches all the controls of my oculus pads to the gamepad. Not only that, but the stupid ass thing plants a giant ass mouse icon that follows my head. Anytime I tap my A button on my controller, it hits wherever my **bleep**ing head is pointed. I've scoured the internet, and absolutely nobody has a reasonable solution, aside from paying 20 MORE dollars for some app, or getting that big screen thing that absolutely kills the fps when it streams. Please, does anyone have a solution for this 400 dollar problem?

You had to know that a standalone headset has no official support for game pads. Air Link sends the controller mapping downstream to Oculus API on your PC, steam pulls your controller from that. Big screen mode is the only known way that I can think of to do what you're wanting since the headset was not at all designed for that
