Games in Meta quest Link glue VR Controllers to the floor

Hello everyone. I am having a frustrating issue preventing me from playing games via Meta Link on my Quest One. This has worked on my PC in the past and I was trying to play games again after about a year so it has worked before. I cannot provide screenshots so I will do my best to describe the symptoms of my issue.

The controllers themselves work fine. They work in the home menu, and even the meta link menu when I'm not in game. However, when I enter a game they become stuck together on the floor. The only things that work are when I hold the menu button (the one with the three lines on the left controller) they will sometimes resume normal function for a full second before snapping back to the floor again. Also when I take the battery out of my left controller the right one has full functionality and works like normal just without the left controller. Also I only have two VR games being Phasmaphobia VR and Beatsaber and this behavior is exhibited in both games.

I'm at a loss for what to do to troubleshoot something like this further than I have. I have tried repairing the meta link software and updating it to the latest version. I have updated Steam and Steam VR to the latest version as well. I have even tried using older software files from this post:

Also the specs of my PC are as follows:

Intel 13900K

Radeon 7900XT

32 Gigs of 4800 MT/s ram

B760 Gaming X AX Gigabyte Motherboard

If anymore details are required please comment and I will provide them. I will also test any troubleshooting methods mentioned and will reply with results.

Thank you to anyone who replies.

Yeah I have the same issue. The only game I get to work is VrChat. I have myself tested recroom on both meta link and steam, steam works but not meta link.

I found a weird thing when testing today if I hold both controllers in my hand it stops tracking and glues the controllers to the floor but when I put one away and only old one of the the tracking works for both controllers hence why it works when removing a battery because the other controller turns of then.

Wonder why this is happening.

Glad to know I'm not the only one! Hopefully we get a patch or other work around soon

Found a temporary solution after some more research:

Basically switching over OpenXR to steam gives controllers full functionality back. Hope this helps anyone with similar problems in the future.

The only problem with this is that beatsaber for example will only show a error message to switch the openXR to meta
