Generic Gamepads not woking anymore on Quest 2

i used to play a lot emulators and Minecraft Be in normal 2D mode on my Q2 (cuz my phone is weak to run it) using an generic gamepad (Ípega) and it works perfectly, but on lasted updates v54-v55 the gamepad is not working like a gamepad but as a pointer, when i press any buttom it just show a dot on minddle of my screen that follow my head and i can only click and move pages up and down, exaclty like when u controll ur quest by the volume buttom.

 

(plus: on bluetooth devices connected page it shows me an gamepad icon meaning the quest knows that is a gamepad but treat like a pointer)

 

can someone help plsss

Thanks. Here is what I was trying to explain. I get this screen on my phone app: 

 

and then

and when I select Pair New Controllers I do not get this screen:

and the third option "Pair Gamepad" is not there.

The gamepad device is from GAIM Immersive Technology and it is an electronic trigger used with their shooting games. Their instructions read exactly as yours but the critical option of "Pair Gamepad" is not available. I tried the Bluetooth connection using the headset but the GAIM product it will not appear on the list of devices.

Thanks, but the website is no help. How could the Meta menu system know that the device was not a PlayStation controller or any other controller that is supported by Meta when it decided not to allow me to pair ANY gamepad by not having that menu option? That's what makes no sense. Is the answer simply that I cannot connect any gamepad to my Quest 2?

Hey there, @007007007007007. You definitely can, but not all 3rd-party accessories are guaranteed to be compatible with our software. With the Gamepad option not appearing on your mobile app, we would like to gather the following details to take a further look. Please confirm the following: 

 

  • Mobile app software version
  • Headset software version
  • Screenshot of the current mobile app pairing menus


From there, we will continue working to get to the bottom of this!

Hello-I finally got it to work! However, there is still no option to add a gamepad in the add controller menu.
