Glare effect and light scattering in the middle of the lens.
6 months ago when I bought it I didn't notice this effect, but now it seems to be getting stronger over time. It's difficult to explain the problem or to take a photo because you would have to do it somehow through the lens. You can see it very clearly when the background is black and there is white text in the foreground, e.g. the developer logo.
Afterwards it's still there but it's not as noticeable because the display is illuminated as a whole

Another thing that I noticed in this context, for example in first person tennis, the spectators move along with the head movement up/down, it looks as if they are standing up.  I can try to make a short movie today

Hey @Tomtom_42 !!

Thank you for bringing this to our attention! We see that you are having some display issue. The occurrence you're describing appears to be normal behavior and exists to some degree in all headsets. While it can vary between headsets, it more typically varies between users. This does not affect the functionality of the headset and should still allow for great VR experiences.

Could you please tell me if the device has been dropped or damaged previously?

We will be waiting for your response.

It wasn't at the beginning and the device wasn't damaged or dropped. If that had been at the beginning I would have complained. You can even see it when scrolling through the menu or slightly in bright games. For me that's a defect.

Thank you for your clarification on this matter.

From what we understand you see a light-colored object on a dark background and the effect appear as streaks of light coming of the edges of the bright object, or text, stretching out towards your eyes. This is a normal effect caused by the lenses and this can vary between headsets and users. This however should not affect the functionality of the headset and you should still be able to use the headset as normal.

If this is not what you are seeing when you are using the headset you can try to make photo or video of what it looks like when you use the headset so that we can see what you see. You can send these details via a private message. To start a private message you can go to our profile.

@Tomtom_42  The only way I notice anything similar is when I haven’t got the proper face placement and/or properly adjusted position/tightness of my Q3 Elite headstrap.  It also helps to avoid overly bright direct lighting, including from sunlit windows.
