Has anyone been able to get 4090 to work with Quest app? Every setting I use says my system does not meet minimum requirements.
System specs:
Intel i7-13700
Gigabyte 4090 RTX
32g DDR5
WIN11 22H2 - Fresh install all drivers updated.
I upgraded my whole gaming system and it worked fine on my previous setup with a 3080.
I'm trying to use it mostly for DCS, but just getting it to work properly with Quest Link without error is impossible.
Quest app checks out fine and all tests pass. Tried two brand new cables. All connections are good, default Mhz (72). Plays fine when not linked. Just can't play VR when connected to PC.
Any assistance would be appreciated!

Thanks for all the replies. Sorry I didn't post sooner. After a full reset of my headset, uninstalling the apps in safe mode, using CC cleaner to cleanup...reinstalled... all works fine. I still get the supported message, but I can use my VR in DCS again.

Why did you buy the RTX 4090 before Meta has announced support for it? Never buy a new gpu, before Meta supports it - that may take months, could even be a year.
You chose to buy an unsupported gpu, and now no one can help you. Either use the 3080, or wait for Meta to support the 4090. But Meta seems to care little for PCVR these days.
I did not buy the 3090 before Meta supported it - and waited several months.
Today, about a year after the launch, Win11 has just been officially supported for Link.
Supported gpus are right now:
Nothing is more important than VR when using my rig. If you care for VR, then don't try to be ahead of Meta. You wait for Meta, they - not you - decide when it's time to upgrade.
Btw, you're not alone having trouble with the RTX 4090 (and 3090 Ti), I wrote a post about issues in the 4090 thread some days ago:
Oculus Rift CV1, Valve Index & PSVR2, Asus Strix OC RTX™ 3090, i9-10900K (5.3Ghz), 32GB 3200MHz, 16TB SSD

Thanks for the feedback, however, you make it sound like I bought the 4090 JUST for Meta. Meta just happened to fall victim to the ONLY app/device that is not working for me. Everything else works perfectly fine and I can use TrackIR as a fall back for DCS until Meta updates. Most games I did use with Oculus, I have for both libraries, so i can still play whatever games I want, but thanks for the info.

Don't be such a drama queen, the 4090 works just fine.
It's Oculus who are dragging their feet with whitelisting the latest GPU's.
Probably too busy with all of that Horizon garbage, or claiming unemployment insurance.

I'm no drama queen, lol - but making a thread complaining about an unsupported gpu not working seems misguided. Contact Oculus Support directly and make a polite wish when in trouble:

I did that and after the very BASICs of troubleshooting from them (USB power, Sleep mode, Device Drivers, etc) this is the last email they gave me:
"
Rui F. (Meta Quest Support) Nov 4, 2022, 02:26 PDT Hey Paul, Thank you for reaching back to us, this is Rui. As my colleague previously said, you may fix the issue doing the troubleshooting provided, if not, we can't help further because the graphics card is not supported. If I can help you in anything else, please let me know. Have a great day! Best regards, Rui F. |

I know this is very frustrating - but this is nothing new, it's been like that for years. Ok, Oculus was pretty fast when the 2000-series arrived, but often many had to wait - not knowing if or when their gpu would be supported (owners of AMD cards seem to have the tougher problems).
Right now the situation is a bit different - maybe - with Meta's reduced interest in PCVR - but I'd be surprised if the 4090 and 4080 aren't supported before Feb 2023. The 4080 may be important - more will buy that card because it's cheaper - might cause more customers to complain about missing support and motivate Meta for the support. 2c.

Not sure why the OP has issues with the 4090.
I have a 4090 FE and an i9 13900k and I literally just stopped playing Lone Echo 2 (Air-Link) 3 minutes ago.
It worked perfectly fine (if you discard the fact that I had to try 5 times to connect to the Oculus app and the game took 4 minutes to load). But to be fair, I did bump the resolution to the maximum supported in the Oculus app @90Hz.
Besides this, it works fine in the games that I tested: Lone Echo 1&2, Stormland and one of the Vader games.

ok just to make it CLEAR
it's meta that do not allow the app to say it's ok to run a RTX 4090
cos as I said THERE ARE CLUELESS their kids running web blogs not games
or pc enthusiastic. they think its ok to say the 4090 has not been approved yet on their list ****
like we care about their list .....all Nivida has BACKWORD COMPATABITLE.
who cares about meta try employing people that work in the gaming industry and not bloggers...
