Hey Paul,
Thanks for following up with us.
We totally understand how this is a frustrating situation.
This was not a known issue with our team prior to launch of 1.20 which
is why the issue manifested itself. I noticed that several individuals
claimed this was present in the Public Test Channel, although there were
no reports of this behavior reviewed in the feedback submission.
There is no way to rollback the Oculus software, this is not an option on the technical level.
To set expectations properly, the DK2 is not a supported product and is
not intended for consumer use. DK2 was sold as a development kit prior
to the consumer product, Oculus Rift. Our teams focus on our consumer
grade hardware and software, as these are built for scalability for
future technologies.
Rest assured that we are working on a fix for our users on AMD graphics
cards. The teams feel strongly that we have identified the issue and
hope to address the behavior in an update sometime in the near future.
Once we have additional details to share, I'll follow up.
My team and I appreciate your continued patience and understanding on this situation.
Thank you.

If I was to somehow download a mirror of 1.9 and turn my internet off for a bit, would I be able to use it again until I turn it back on? Does anyone have a mirror?

Funny hearing that from such a competent team working on revolutionary technology. I guess when this gets fixed, I should just make a restore point of the system, snapshot any temporary files during the install and disconnect it from internet, just to use it for what I want it for. It may be brutally low-tech but it is an option that works better than this nonsense.

Day 9. Slowly my brain regains the ability to recognise 2D shapes. Withdrawal symptoms begin to set in. I have taken to sellotaping my printer to my face to emulate the weight of a Rift headset. May soon start rapid blinking to reduce my framerate. Will continue posting updates as my mental state develops.
