Green haze and pink 90 degrees mirror

Maybe anyone on this forum can help me.
I have a very strange problem where my screens turn green and in my right screen there seems to be a 90 degrees turned purple/pink mirror image of the screen as well.
I dont know what causes the problem but this is the second time it appears. It seems to start when i shut down or open an application on the rift.
Last time i fixed it by uninstalling the software and reinstalling it again, but i cant imagine that being the only solution (rebooting my PC doesnt work).

Does anyone know how i can fix this ?
Thanks in advance!

The latest on what will be known henceforth as the "Great DK2 Outage 2017"

Hey Paul,

Thanks for following up with us.

We totally understand how this is a frustrating situation.

This was not a known issue with our team prior to launch of 1.20 which
is why the issue manifested itself. I noticed that several individuals
claimed this was present in the Public Test Channel, although there were
no reports of this behavior reviewed in the feedback submission.

There is no way to rollback the Oculus software, this is not an option on the technical level.

To set expectations properly, the DK2 is not a supported product and is
not intended for consumer use. DK2 was sold as a development kit prior
to the consumer product, Oculus Rift. Our teams focus on our consumer
grade hardware and software, as these are built for scalability for
future technologies.

Rest assured that we are working on a fix for our users on AMD graphics
cards. The teams feel strongly that we have identified the issue and
hope to address the behavior in an update sometime in the near future.
Once we have additional details to share, I'll follow up.

My team and I appreciate your continued patience and understanding on this situation.

Thank you.

If I was to somehow download a mirror of 1.9 and turn my internet off for a bit, would I be able to use it again until I turn it back on? Does anyone have a mirror?

You cant, the setup is nothing but a 'download tool' and automatically downloads the newest version.
I tried it already.

Please, fix it. We need to go before the Oculus Go!  😮

Day 9. Slowly my brain regains the ability to recognise 2D shapes. Withdrawal symptoms begin to set in. I have taken to sellotaping my printer to my face to emulate the weight of a Rift headset. May soon start rapid blinking to reduce my framerate. Will continue posting updates as my mental state develops.

Funny hearing that from such a competent team working on revolutionary technology. I guess when this gets fixed, I should just make a restore point of the system, snapshot any temporary files during the install and disconnect it from internet, just to use it for what I want it for. It may be brutally low-tech but it is an option that works better than this nonsense.

Thanks for the update from Nate. Hope release will be early next week.
Any testers needed for the fix this weekend?  😉

I have an idea, what you can do is go to C:\program files\
Right click on Oculus and restore previous version. Search an older backup of the oculus folder and copy it to the original directory.

Also if you dont want to update oculus change the rules in the host file as well.

I dont have an older version, so if someone can upload an older version, that would be great if i can have a copy of that folder to?

Maybe this is usefull and hope it will work. i am also waiting for the hotfix and tried above, sadly enough i didnt had an older version stored on my pc 😞

I've been sitting in the corner, rocking back and forth.  The voices......they have faces.....they seem friendly.....turns out it's my family and I got married to one of them in August.  But....the resolution out here....its....it's better than 4K..... *jumps back to Gear VR for a 10 minute fix before it overheats*

Was about to buy some sweet oculus controllers right before this started.
Now thinking of selling this stuff to someone with an NVidea card and buying a htc vive.....
