HDMI interception of audio to enable "boosting" of audio levels

hello, I am a long time oculus fan/user going way back to the DK1/DK2 days

the CV1 has very impressive headphones with plenty of bass, however even with the audio turned all the way up I find the levels somewhat inadequate. I am looking/hoping for some kind of HDMI interceptor to boost the audio levels. I have found a number of products that appear to do just that, however I figured I would ask here for some hopefully more experienced advice.

so what's the consensus? is there an option?

thank you for any help 🙂

It's a nich market for something like this. Better off either buying heading phones with an amp or leaving the current head sets alone.

As for if it'll work - maybe - I can't say it wont, but you might push them a bit hard and they will slowly start to under perform over time.

thanks for the input. I guess I'm just left with the option of using my own headphones as opposed to the integrated ones. oh well 😕
