Hi- I just received my Rift today. I am using an Alienware 14, my GPU and CPU is not recommended specs however I think it will stll work, just not run smoothly. I am going through the setup, and I get stuck on the Headset setup. The two USB detects but the HDMI does not. I disabled the integrated video card and it still does not detect HDMI. I am not sure why it is doing this.
I skipped this part and went on. Next was gamepad setup (not xbox controller). I removed the plastic on the bottom of the remote and pressed the middle button like shown. Nothing happens. Bottom left indicates still search for a gamepad/ remote. I rebooted a few times and skipped to this section and still does not detect.
Any suggestions before I go out and buy another computer? Unfortunately no of my friends have strong computers for me to test on.
