I discovered that someone has logged into my account and linked it to a new Meta email address that I do not have access to. This change has left me unable to remove the unauthorized email or regain control over my account. Unfortunately, I do not know the password for the new email address, making recovery impossible on my own.
To further complicate matters, I do not own a VR device with a serial number, which I understand may be required for verification.
I value my account and the connections I have built within the Instagram community. I would greatly appreciate any guidance or support you can provide to help me recover my account. Please let me know what steps I need to take or any information you may require from me to facilitate this process.

The link you provided above for the Community Support leads to a Meta Quest Support forum, where you are to send a mesage.
After sending message, one gets a reply with 'send us your email'. So you do. Then, a few days later you get an email. They then ask a long list of questions for information you must supply.
After doing all the research, and supplying all the information, you get a stock answer from a nobody saying "We can't help because were are in Meta Quest. Please go to Facebook or Instagram to get support."
How ridiculous is this? I've gone through it twice now!
The issue is a malicious Meta account that has infiltrated my FB and IG accounts. Neither of those platforms offers any help whatsoever. They have an information page that basically tells you to change your password.
META is responsible for ALL of these platforms.
META is the platform that the malicious account holder has used to get into many, many accounts as I can see from these community forums, including my own and I cannot remove it from my Accounts Center.
I have sent screenshots.
I have sent the email address of the offending Meta account holder.
STILL all I get is "We're in Quest. We can't do anything".
