Hey everyone,
I’m dealing with a frustrating situation with Instagram and hoping someone here has advice. My account was hacked, and the attackers changed the username, email, and phone number, completely locking me out. I’ve tried everything, but I’ve received no meaningful support. It feels like I’m stuck in an endless loop with their automated system.
What makes this worse is that after losing my account, I attempted to create new Instagram accounts, but they were immediately disabled. It seems my device has been flagged, likely because I had been desperately trying to recover my original account through multiple login attempts. Now, I can’t use Instagram at all, even for new accounts that have nothing to do with the hacked one. Additionally, when I try to use the video verification method they ask me to put an email but I never receive and email.
This has severely affected my ability to stay in touch with important people, some of whom I have no other way of contacting. I also had years of memories, conversations, and connections on my account that I may never get back.
Has anyone experienced something similar? If so, how did you get past the device flag and actually get a response from Instagram? I’m even considering filing complaints with organizations like the FTC or my Attorney General since Instagram is completely unresponsive.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
