Hand tracking broken, controllers gone when enabled

A few days ago, I picked up my Quest 3 and put it on just like any other day, but for some reason, the controllers wouldn't show up. The menu buttons worked to reset position and take screenshots and stuff, but there was no cursor and nothing could be selected. This wasn't the first time this had happened, but the other times I was able to reset the headset get the controllers to come back up. This time, restarting didn't fix it.
After trying everything I could think of, I eventually decided that I need to do a factory reset. I did that, and the controllers were working again… For about a minute. As soon as I was asked to enable hand tracking, the controllers went away again and I couldn't select anything just like before. Not only did the controllers not work, but hand tracking wasn't even working either. I couldn't find any way to disable the hand tracking without controllers or hand tracking. The dot that lets you select and use the volume button to select wouldn't show up either since I guess it was thinking it was in hand tracking mode. So with no way to disable hand tracking, I was forced to factory reset again.
This time, when I was asked if I wanted to enable hand tracking, I said no and my controllers stayed working and I was allowed to finish setting up. It stinks that I can't turn on hand tracking without breaking my controllers but I am glad I can use my controllers again. The only other problem is the auto room setup doesn't work anymore. It no longer maps out my room like it used to and makes me set it up manually. This isn't a big deal, but it does show that there must be a sensor problem. I contacted Meta chat support, but they weren't very helpful. They couldn't figure out anything that could fix it and came to the conclusion that my headset needs to be replaced. The only problem is, I got the Quest 3 at launch and the 1 year warranty expired this month, so the only thing they could offer to do is replace it with a refurbished one for $450.
I tried to respond with a lengthy message, but they only gave me two minutes before they disconnected and deleted my unfinished message right before my eyes.
I was so furious. I have bought a Rift, Q1, three Q2s, a Qpro and got a several friends and family to buy Oculus/Meta products. I have given them so much money. I lived with dead pixels on my screen for a year and didn't say anything while being under warranty, so unless anyone has a suggestion that I could help, I will have to live without hand tracking and room mapping too.
