I am having the same only charging battery to 75% and flashing orange light issue since the V74.1019 update landed on my Quest 3. I tried all the reboots and lead swaps and chargers etc....to only find out in other forums that this is happening everywhere. Absolute crap that there is no way to roll back to a previous update....I didnt have any issues before the latest update. Meta needs to make rolling back to whatever version you were happy with an option in the future!
This waiting around for a fix is unacceptable in this day and age....as it might not fix the issue either.
I feel your pain. Unfortunately both my headsets are out of warranty so I am stuck. Keep waiting for them to fix there mistake. Hopefully it will happen soon.
It is a software issue, best thing to do right now is to roll back to V72 as that is the only thing that works. No reply from the dev team on a fix or update as yet
I had the PTC build with v74 and experienced these charging issues. Wouldn't charge correctly even fully powered off. After a few days I gave up and factory reset to v72. Hated doing that, but it fixed the charging issues.
Now v74 officially rolled out to everyone. My headset won't charge past 75%. Again. Why was this even released?
I have not seen a correction yet. I don’t know if programmers are aware or not. I tried support but since I am out of warranty the recommended solution was a new headset so I will wait and see if they fix it at some point. The headset was perfect before update.
