Headset connected without internet

GaMeR-mOmEnT

My headset won't connect to internet. I've had this issue before and the solution was to update my headset when I sometimes had it(it used to he on and off) but right now it's never connected and is showing "Connected to device. Can't provide internet." I've already reset the router, booted my device, left it alone for 5 days, reset the router, got a whole new router, forgotten the wifi and put it back in, changed the password, put the password in a million times and not a single one of those worked until I was able to update it. I haven't done anything to the headset other than forget to update it so if you could help it would be greater appreciated. I've contacted the meta support so many times and they have the worst customer service and don't help what so ever. If someone has the solution please tell me I've already seen the other posts on here and they haven't helped. And please don't tell me to reset the router reset the headset or to boot the head as I have already done all of those. Meta has been of no help so I'm coming here to hopefully get the solution to my problem

If you have a WiFi 6e network, did you try to separate the 2.4 GHz one from the 6 GHz one (2 distinct SSID) and force your headset on the 2.4 GHz one?

Also, do you have access to another router (a friend or family member) to validate that it's not an incompatibility issue with your existing hardware?

I've connected to another internet and it still showed connected without internet 😞

How would I force it onto the 2ghz?

@GaMeR-mOmEnT! You would need to access your router's settings page which can usually be accessed via entering your IP address into the URL of a browser. Routers can vary in settings  but once you have gained access you should be able to start making various changes within your router. The first thing we would recommend is disabling dual band as this will allow the headset and the router to stay within the same channel. Let us know if this improved anything for you! We're looking forward to your response!

Headset still isn't working and I wasn't able to turn off the duel band as it's built into my router any other suggestions?

Hey again, @GaMeR-mOmEnT. Consider checking your mobile app, logging out, and logging back in to ensure your headset to ensure a proper connection between your headset, your account, and the internet. You can also double check the headset settings using the mobile app to ensure everything is good there as well.

We know you mentioned trying a different network, but have you tried a mobile hot spot? Even just to test, this could help clarify if there are some security settings on your router causing issues.
