Headset keeps giving random error messages

It says :social platforms keeps stopping,android process media keeps stopping ,com.oculus.identity managed to.service.IMSApplic... keeps stopping and cannot play any games any help appreciated

Hey there @Henshaws! We definitely want for you to be able to use your headset without getting any error messages! In order for us to be able to look into this, we'll need more context about what you are seeing.

 

  • What device are you using?
  • Where are you seeing these error messages?
  • What action prompts them to pop up?
  • Are you able to see/do anything in the headset, or are the messages always present?
  • Are you able to take a screenshot of what you are seeing?

The more information that you can provide, the better equipped we will be to help out!

Same thing is happening to me and I don’t know what to do.

I was laying bonelab and and my screen started to do one frame at a time. So I thing my VR is dead but it keeps doing over and over then eventually things started to pop up saying Facebook something something and it’s super annoying and I try to say close app and it just resets. And when it’s done, it just shows my boundary and a black screen

Hi there folks! We've looked into this and have found some minor solutions, however we'd like to ask you to perform a factory reset on your device  to clear the caches which could be inhibiting your headset. 

In addition, we'd like to ask you to file a bug report by shaking your phone or, if possible, accessing the Settings menu and click the "Report a Bug" option. Thank you!
