Headset not charging

I've been using my VR headset for a while, but recently, it has stopped charging. I've experimented with various methods to resolve this issue, but none have proven successful. One method that did temporarily work was bending the cord, although it quickly stopped charging after a few seconds. I'm currently uncertain about how to proceed

Since we want to make sure you're taken care of, here are a few troubleshooting steps. Lets us know if you've tried this:

  • Attempt to charge the headset for 2 hours.
  • Try a different Cable/Charger; if possible, test the cable and charger (adapter) separately to determine the faulty component.
  • Try charging from a different Source (another PC or different wall outlet).
  • Factory reset.

Hi where can we send headset for repair as doesn't charge 

Hey @AndyBear1980. It looks like you're having issues charging your device. We'd like to suggest a few things that you may or may not have tried already. Though we do not have any repair recommendations for you, we are able to help you troubleshoot this issue and look into other options for your headset. Please let us know if you've tried any or all of these so far and if they've worked for you or not. 

 

  1. Try using a different power source, such as an alternate power outlet.
  2. Try using a different charging cable.
  3. See if you can open the boot menu on your headset:
    • Hold the power and volume (-) buttons on the headset down simultaneously until the boot screen loads.
    • Exit and reboot the headset.
    • If you are still unable to charge, follow these steps, but select the factory reset option instead of exiting and rebooting.
