Headset stuck on Passthrough

Hey people, 

Accidently I tapped the headset while adjusting the strap and activated Passthrough. 

Nevertheless, the headset is stuck on it now! I cannot get out of it! I tried to reboot several times, and even after restarting, the headset goes straight to Passthrough view. 

Any tip on this?

Hey everyone! Just wanted to jump in here and report that I'll be locking this thread as the original post does seem to be pretty old and could potentially have a different root cause than anything recent.

If you're having any issues with your headset being stuck on passthrough, I'd suggest checking out these steps here. If those don't help out, please feel free to start a new thread in the Get Help boards as well as reaching out to @MetaQuestSupport through PM for them to check out some other options.

So this is a bug? I'm consistently showing up in Passthrough everytime I turn on the Quest 2. Didn't happen prior to .27 so this is confirmed bug? Is see alot of these issues in reddit and online. 

I've been struggling with this as well. Whenever I boot up the device, I am stuck in passthrough and can't access any menus or anything.

I got this problem not long ago after i updated my device. I stucked it in key the password. My controller was connected with oculus but cursor didn’t move together. After that oculus was turn off and on repeatly. Is this bug from the lastest firmware?

Same exact problem, there is no way to fix this??? tried to power up without wearing it, still in passthrough mode, can someone please fix this or respond to us?

This is the solution turn off your headset then turn it on but dont wear it when it is turning on wait like 10 seconds after it turns on

This has not worked for me.  Will Oculus please reply with a solution.  I can't even use my device as even when I try to start an app it stays in passthrough mode.   Why isn't there just a simple menu option to turn this on or off?

We know being unable to get past the passthrough can be inconvenient, and we understand how important being able to access your headset and play your hard earned games is. We want to do all that we can to help you out on this matter!

 

For troubleshooting, can you please review the following:

  • Try double tapping the right arm on the headset to see if this will get you out of the passthrough mode.
  • Factory reset the headset.
    1. First, turn off your headset completely.
    2. Then, hold the power and volume (-) button on your headset down simultaneously until the boot screen loads on your headset.
    3. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Factory Reset and press the power button.
    4. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Yes and press the power button.
