Headset tracking lost loop meta quest 2

So whenever I boot up the headset day or night I can use it normally for about 10 to 15 minutes before it loses tracking and no matter what it decides not to work for a long period of time,I’ve tried factory reset, guardian reset, new batteries, and numerous other tricks to no avail, this headset I know doesn’t haven’t any insurance but it’s barely used, is there any fixes or no

Hey there, @lil_justino! We hope to help you make tracking issues a thing of the past so you can get back to enjoying VR to the fullest! 

So we can best assist, please answer the following question for us: 

  • Are you having controller tracking issues as well?

Sometimes tracking issues can be caused by tracking not being turned on or environmental factors. So please try the following: 

Making sure tracking is turned on

  • Click on the clock on the left side of the universal menu
  • Select Settings
  • Select System from the Settings panel
  • Select Headset Tracking from the left side panel
  • Make sure Headset Tracking is ticked

Ensure your environment has the proper lighting

  • Remove your headset
  • Make sure lightning in the room hasn't changed, if it has turn on additional lights or relocate to a more well-lit room

Clean your tracking cameras

  • Clean them using a dry microfiber cloth
