Headset will not connect because of a paired controller

There are no head sets connected to my computer and when I look at the devices I shows nothing but a controller I can’t interact with I’ve reset the app the headset the pc I’ve got a whole new head set I’ve deleted the app and reinstalled it I’ve waited months to see if it would resolve itself like the bugs sometimes do. But nothing and the only thing I haven’t done is factory reset the app because I’ve done it for the headset and it still doesn’t work. How do I get rid of the controller and how do I get the headset to connect because it can it just doesn’t want to because of something that’s NOT THERE. Some please eather explain how to fix the controller thing or how to factory reset the pc app or everything otherwise I’m taking a sledge to this headset because I’m done trying to solve a problem that doesn’t exist and no one else has.

Hey there, @RageVonNord, and thanks for reaching out to the community! We hate to hear you've had some bumps getting connected to the PC app, and we'd love to work with you and your device to get things running smoothly. To help us get started, we'd like to gather a bit more information to understand your current set-up:

  • Are you connecting the headset to the PC using Air Link or a Link Cable?
  • Has the headset ever been connected to the PC app prior?
  • Are there any error messages seen?
  • Confirm your PC is compatible with our PC software, here
  • Has a PC app repair been completed? If, not, let's complete the following:
    1. Download and run the Meta Installation Software
    2. You will see a screen which says "Already Installed".
    3. Click the "Repair" option, and confirm again on the next screen.

It didn’t work and my pc is compatible, I was connected previously through PC using Air Link and have many times before this started happening, and after the PC app repair nothing changed.

it says “please ensure no other headsets are connected to your pc, then try again. If you’re still having problems try restarting your headset, or restarting the quest pc app in settings > beta” none of witch has been useful.

We appreciate you providing these additional details! With this error being seen, we do want to make sure all prior installed files of the PC app are removed from your PC. So that we're able to take a further look into how everything is communicating, please send us a PM as we'd like to have our dedicated team gather your current logs. To do so, please select our name to get to our profile page, or click here while signed in to the community. Next, click "Send a Message" to privately message us!
