While putting on the not inexpensive headset, the thin plastic bar that the headstrap feeds through broke. I’m really surprised this piece that is a focal stress point of the headset assembly is made of such small diameter plastic. What are the fixes for this issue. Looks like an engineering issue to me. Off the shop I go while I wait for a solution reply. Game over for today….

Did you get help? This is concerning because I had the exact same thing happened and it broke in the exact same way both of you described. Yours broke. It is not user error! It’s called a cheap plastic pen that can’t handle much pressure pulled through it. It just wasn’t made correctly. Did yours just break off on the ends so there’s no way to even fix it yourself? I would love to know if you get a response back but I better not hear it user error when if you google this, we are not alone. There are many other people this has happened to .

This same thing happened to me. I tried to explain it 3 different times to support for warranty coverage and they keep offering me a refurbished replacement for $350. It was a Christmas present and has only been used 5 months!

After replying via the link provided here, the response was the same. They offered a refurbished headset for $350. No option to repair.

That is just sickening. What a horrible, soulless company. If VR ultimately fails. It is because of Meta.
