Headstrap connector broke off my headset

While putting on the not inexpensive headset, the thin plastic bar that the headstrap feeds through broke. I’m really surprised this piece that is a focal stress point of the headset assembly is made of such small diameter plastic. What are the fixes for this issue. Looks like an engineering issue to me. Off the shop I go while I wait for a solution reply. Game over for today….

very frustrating I’m in the process of getting a new headset.  not sure why I get a whole new one, but I’m not complaining

Same here, they said it was self inflicted tho so i’m requesting a repair in hopes of a cheaper option

I had the exact same thing happen except the headstrap was already on and I was playing when it snapped.

If anyone still has this issue, I found a solution that worked for me quickly instead of having to pay for a new one.

1. Get a small plastic pipe similar in size to the original piece, for me a q-tip worked, but you could possible use things like a toothpick

2. Get a pair of scissors and marker, then go to the headset and feed one end of the pipe through the hole thats left. Mark on the side of the pipe that is sticking out where it lines up to the other side with the other hole.

3. Cut the pipe and put it inside the place where the original piece was and it should work
