Help with Quest 1 PCVR

I've tried everything to do PCVR with my Quest 1, it used to work and now it doesn't. My PC specs are more than enough: RTX 3070, i5 12600K, 16GB DDR4.

Forgot to mention my actual issue, whenever I launch quest link, it either gives me the black screen and three dots, or it keeps me on the quest link screen and freezes, returning me to quest home, or it lets me select my game, and then it crashes, returning me to the quest home.

@DovahkiinXV  does it still have issues if you use SteamLink or Virtual Desktop apps to stream to the headset wirelessly instead of using Link/Airlink?

Games will play, but my internet isnt the best, and I can't use the ethernet

@DovahkiinXV  there's a workaround to get Virtual Desktop working with a link cable, so ne need for the ethernet.

is there a way to get vd for free? im not too hot on spending $25 when i shouldnt have to pay anything more than i already have

@DovahkiinXV  I'm not aware of a free version of VD, but it will pay for itself just for the fact that you'll get issue free gaming.  Link/Airlink is a complete and utter shambolic turd of a piece of software, which is why there are so many posts on this forum about it not working. Yes, you shouldn't have to pay for extra software to get it working properly, but then if meta were any good, they'd have the issues fixed. They have your money and give you the finger.
