Help with app store error code

Whenever I try to open a game or app's page in the app store, it shows the error code "timeout when resolving device scoped acces token." I have not been able to find any solved threads about this and there is nothing about it on youtube. I have a new quest 2 that I got recently. Please ask for any necessary information. Thanks.

Suggestion: don't factory reset. I had the same error ("Timeout when resolving device-scoped access token"), did a factory reset, and now I can't connect to my quest 2 at all. If you have to do a reset, make sure you are still in warranty because you probably need a new device if it's the same as my issue.

I did factory reset and now I cant connect it to the app as well. I am getting mine replaced. It is interesting that this is a "common" problem. 

Yeah, mine was out of warranty, so I have a very large desk ornament.

Since the factory reset did not address the issue, can you let us know if the following was able to?

 

  • Using another network to access the store (like a hotspot or a friend's Wi-Fi).
  • Turning off any VPN you may have.
  • Checking to see if your account can open the same page on the browser from another device.

Also, can you let us know what other troubleshooting steps you may have taken aside from the factory reset?

    • I can't pair the headset now, so I can't access the store at all.
    • I did try using a hotspot when setting up the Quest 2, but it did not work either.
  • Turning off any VPN you may have.
    • I do not have a VPN
  • Checking to see if your account can open the same page on the browser from another device.
    • Yeah, I can open the store from the Meta Quest app on my phone.

 

  • Also, can you let us know what other troubleshooting steps you may have taken aside from the factory reset?
    • At this point, I have tried several factory resets, I have followed the directions from a support person to do a "Remote factory reset a Meta Quest", and I have tried different wifi's, reset my wifi, and tried to connect from different phones.
