Home not loading when connecting link cable to Oculus Quest 2

Hi everyone. This will be a relatively short post but this is annoying me to no end and I can't find much online regarding this issue. When I turn on the standalone Quest 2 my home environment loads up just fine. However, when I connect my Link cable (official cable) to my PC, everything else works fine, but I'm stuck in an eternal white grid.

I just built my PC so all the installs are brand-spanking new (please don't ask me to uninstall my software etc as this is the first install on the new PC and have all my titles downloaded). Could it be an issue with some settings on my actual headset or something? Looking for some guidance here, thanks!

Hey Tim,

No they actually didn’t resolve it. However, I ended up finding a solution here that worked for my situation.

You stated home isn’t showing up in your dashboard, which wasn’t my case. In my case the home button appeared but it wouldn’t ever load. Make sure you have it turned on in your settings to start when your quest starts.

These are the steps that worked for me but I can’t say they will for you.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I’d be happy to submit a ticket. However, none of the options for when I select Meta Quest 2 are remotely close to my issue. What do you suggest?

Did they ever resolve this for you? I'm having the exact same problem. I was on V49, then both my Quest 2 headset and the PC Oculus app updated but the headset shows it is still v49, so I guess I moved to a subversion of v49. I was in the public test server on the app and tried again with that turned off. Still can't access my home when connected to a PC. The option doesn't even appear on the menu bar. Thanks for your time.

Thanks for the quick response.  I'll give it a try. If nothing else, when I get the next update it might come back.

No luck. Thanks for the help. I won't worry about until after v50 comes out and I'll see if that fixes it. I can manage with the white grid for a while.
