Horizon Workrooms Question

I’m planning to a Horizons Workroom meeting, but leveraging the Zoom functionality.
Question: If I create a meeting via Zoom, adding a Horizon Workroom to the meeting, then send that meeting to someone---- and then, that person forwards the meeting to someone else……. Will the end recipient be able to join the meeting from Workrooms (not in the traditional sense from their computer, but using their headset) even if they were not on the original meeting notice?

@natalia.the.moderator  Congrats on planning your meeting in Workrooms with the Zoom functionality -- I think I understand your question, but I'll try to confirm a few details in case I'm missing something.

1.  To create a Zoom meeting that works with Workrooms - you need to first be sure that you can connect your Zoom to your Workroom using the Zoom Integration, then you need to have Zoom Pro in order to use the functionality.
2. Once you've connected your Zoom Pro account you need to create the event either by using the setting in Workrooms to make the Zoom meeting or share a Zoom link that you are the admin/owner of in the description of the event and this will make it possible to connect the Zoom.
3. Anyone who joins the Zoom will be able to join the meeting even if they aren't a member of the workroom and if the Zoom link is forwarded with the password or link that contains the full login, they can join but only the Zoom.
4.  In order to join with the headset you need to be invited to the Workroom via your Meta account email address and that's the only way to join the Workroom -- there's no way to join the Workroom with the headset via any link provided.  Unfortunately!
5.  On the day of the meeting, this wasn't clear at first for many people -- you need to join the Workroom and click the Join button to connect the Zoom and the Workroom in order for people who join the Zoom to be seen in the Workroom or to see the people in the Workroom.
6.  A few things to note, you need to enable screensharing in the Zoom in order for screens shared from the Workroom or Zoom to be passed between the two.   Zoom recording isn't possible on Workrooms connected meetings so if you wanted to record this meeting, you'll need to prepare another method of recording.

Hope this helps and answers your questions, if you need any other help please let us know or if I was misunderstanding your questions, please let me know too!

P.S. - Join the Workrooms Community  for more help with Workrooms specifically as well.  We meet every Friday for group events as well which is a good place to get questions answered too.

Thanks so much. Unfortunately, our meeting was last night and we learned many of these things via trial and error. What a learning curve! But it was exciting. We were, however, able to record the meeting in Zoom (which seems to contradict what you said). The attendees who joined in Zoom (2D) could not see anything that I projected on the screen in the workroom. I wonder if that's always the case or if the solution is what you suggested and the Zoom host has to allow screen sharing. I'll keep that in mind next time!

@natalia.the.moderator So glad you have a exciting learning curve! Sorry I didn't get the info to you earlier -- but that's all part of this adventure with early adopting right? haha.

Interesting that you were able to record the Zoom, originally the documentation said that the Zoom settings had to have recording disabled in order for the integration to work but maybe they have changed that since launch -- I'll have to go back and test!  We actually ran the AI summary one week for the Workrooms Community Meetup but sadly it recognizes everyone in the Workroom as "Vr Workroom" so it's hard for it to create a useful summary unless people are in the Zoom directly.  I was hoping maybe the Workroom would pass the individual audio feeds but it doesn't identify everyone maybe we'll get some AI summary and recording tools from Meta in the Workroom soon!

I do believe the screensharing issue is from the Zoom permissions but test it out and report back when you can -- generally too if you are sharing something in the Workroom when you connect the Zoom the screensharing will cut out and you have to start sharing again from the Workroom.

In the meantime, if I can help at all with anything please let me know.
