I recently purchased a used Oculus Go headset, and am trying to connect it to my iPhone. However, every time I try to connect them, the phone is unable to find my headset. I have tried every troubleshooting step:
- Making sure everything is on
- Making sure the headset is lit up
- Turning Bluetooth off and on
- Ensuring my phone is connected to the internet.
On the Oculus itself, the screen shows the Oculus oval, and there is a green light in the bottom left corner.
I'm completely new to VR headsets, and I'm not sure what's going on. The person who sold me the headset assured me that it worked.

Hey there, @TheLaz1985. We see you are experiencing some issues with your Oculus Go not being able to be found by your mobile app. We are happy you decided to join VR and joined the Meta community. We would like to mention that the Oculus Go has reached the end of it's life expectancy. Below are some troubleshooting steps in addition to what you have already done.
We hope you enjoy the rest of your day, and again, welcome to virtual reality!

Attempts to factory reset the headset have failed. It still shows the Oculus oval, with a green (yellow?) dot in the lower-left corner, and nothing else. The option to factory reset doesn't come up at all. Also, despite the indicator button showing that there is more than 90% power in the battery, the headset only shows the boot screen for 1-2 seconds before going dark.
I'm not sure how to connect it to Wi-Fi. It doesn't have a controller, so I was trying to use my phone to register my nintendo joy-cons as controllers, since they use bluetooth.
