Horizons Worlds Volume not adjusting.

I’m having an issue where the world sound volume stays at 100% no matter how much I adjust it. I have it at 0% now and it everything is still too loud. Makes it impossible to hear people on certain worlds and over stimulating in others. I’ve uninstalled the app and reinstalled. Nothing works.

  • Are you using the stand alone headset or are you using PCVR?
  • Has this app ever worked properly for you?
  • When encountering this issue, is it every area and/or world of horizon or just certain experiences?

I’m using the meta quest 3. It happens on horizon worlds only. It only happens for my user on both of my headsets. Other users do not have the volume issue. 

Hey there @Pondrr! Thank you for providing us with this information. We'd like to attempt some additional troubleshooting steps. Please try using headphones to check if it improves the volume control. If not, please try rebooting the headset. Here are the steps to do so!

 

  1. Hard Reboot the headset
    1. Hold down the power button and volume down button for 30 seconds until you hear the boot-up sound
    2. If the boot-up sound is not heard:
      1. Hold the power and volume (-) button down simultaneously until the boot screen loads on your headset.
      2. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight "Boot Device" and press the power button.
      3. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Yes and press the power button.
