I use my CV1 with a Nvidia GTX 1080 (372.70) and Win10 64bit. (Stereo 3D, Shadow Play deaktivated,1280x1024, 60hz)
i disconned my monitor and restart the computer without my monitor. After blind log in win 10, the Oculus Home starts automatically.
If i use Virtual Desktop or Big Screen, i get horrible desktop lags. (1 Frame per Second). The fps in the Software stay perfekt with 90 fps (i can look around perfectly with no lags)
Mozilla Firefox Browser windos stays black after loading, also VLC Video Windows. I get only Stereo 3D Option in Nvidia System Settings.
If i connect the monitor, the desktop fps in CV1 goes high to 90 fps.
You must have a monitor plug in your PC to use Virtual desktop ( don't know about Big Screen ). Virtual desktop "stream" your monitor in VR, so no monitor, no Virtual desktop (crappy frame rate). You can use a "ghost" hdmi dongle who simulate a monitor to trick virtual desktop to work (sold on ebay or elsewhere).
