Horrible Support, Cant Access Account.

First of all, wow, Meta Support and Facebook Support is absolutely **bleep**ing horrible.

My issue started when I received my Quest 3. I had a Quest 2 prior to this, I had a Meta Account connected to it, which was connected to my Facebook account.

When I got my Quest 3, I was going through the setup as usual, until I got to the part where they wanted me to connect my account with the IOS app.

I tried logging in like normal, and everything was fine until they tried to send me an SMS code. I received nothing. I tried to resend, and nothing. I waited a while, tried again, nothing, I waited ANOTHER HOUR and tried again, I was blocked from requesting more codes.

I got an email from Facebook saying "The mobile number has been deactivated for Facebook text messages due to the following reason: the mobile service provider this number was registered with no longer recognizes this number as valid. If you changed your mobile number or switched mobile service providers, please visit Facebook to add your number again." Image here:

As you can see at the end of their email, they tell me to "please visit Facebook to add your number again."

So I tried. And guess what they wanted me to do? Login. You know what I can't **bleep**ing do? I can't login. You know why? Because I CAN'T RECEIVE MY **bleep**ING SMS CODE! How is the Facebook team so **bleep**ing stupid?? I tried EVERY SUPPORT PAGE THEY HAVE. EVERYTHING REDIRECTS TO ME LOGGING IN FOR SUPPORT!!

There's no live support, no email I can send a message to, it's by far the WORST support I have ever seen. How can a company that makes as much as Meta have support this **bleep**ing awful??

No, there is no issue with my phone number. I receive blue AND green SMS messages to my iPhone with no issues from anybody BESIDES Facebook. I receive messages from my friends, family, and get promotions sent to my phone all day yesterday and all day today. It's an issue on Facebooks side. No **bleep**ing surprise.

The closest thing I've found to help on the internet from browsing multiple forums is to send the messages "ON" and "START" to 32665 (FBOOK), the same number I have received codes from in the past with no issue, to make sure I didn't accidentally stop or block SMS from their number. I've checked my block list, nothing. Every time I send "ON" or "START" to the number, I receive another email like the picture above telling me my number has been deactivated and that I need to login to fix it. What a **bleep**ing joke.

After checking EVERYWHERE on the internet, I found a way to get some sort of live support from the Meta Quest page. I had to trick live support into speaking to me by lying about what my issue was about. I don't even remember where I found that page because I've been searching for HOURS to get back to the live chat support page I was at before, and I can't find it anymore.

Did I receive help from the support? No. They sent me a page they thought might be helpful, but guess what the page wanted me to do? LOGIN!! I CANT DO THAT **bleep**!!! I said that to the live support, even though I had told them this before, and they told me the best they could do to me was forward it to the Facebook team and that I "MIGHT" get an email back from them in 5-7 business days. So what the **bleep** am I supposed to do with my Quest 3??? Just let it **bleep**ing sit there like a $500 brick while I hope for some help?? What a waste of **bleep**ing money.

I had to create a completely new Meta account just to post on this forum. Since Facebook support is so **bleep**ing awful, I thought maybe something here might be able to help. Though I haven't been able to find any help with the other topics so I'm making my own.

I know I could just use this account for my Quest 3, but then I would lose all the games I already had connected to my other account.

Can anybody help me out??

And no, I don't have the Facebook app, Messenger app, or Meta Quest app on my phone or my PC since i hate social medias and apps connected to them. Especially one as privacy intrusive and money hungry as Meta. The account my Quest 2 is connected to is one that I use to use when I was like 12, but has been inactive for many many years

I did recently login to it tho just because I wanted to check on someone, I had to change my password since I forgot the one I used, but I was able to change my password by using an older password of mine and my email. But no, I don't have access to these anymore since I signed out and have cleared cookies and cache from my PC since the date that I last logged in (no longer than a week ago)

It makes no sense to me that I can't receive any help even though I have access to my working phone number, my email, and my previous passwords. How did Facebook ever think it was a good idea to make every single support page need a login?? How is anybody that loses access to their account supposed to get help??

I truly wish you the best of luck. As someone who has been attempting to resolve a much much much simpler issue with "Customer Support" for almost a month now, I fear you will not find resolution. Luckily they disabled my kids accounts prior to me buying games and prior to the return window. I have now returned a total of 4 headsets. There is no Meta customer service, I swear they are all just AI chat bots that keep looping you in circles and never resolving anything. Mark too busy building his bomb shelter to give a f**k about any of his customers. That boy got more money than the next 10 generations of his offspring could spend. He don't care about his customers or company.

Hi there, @Noname834879y23985! We apologize for our delayed response. We have been experiencing higher support tickets than normal during and after this holiday season. We received your PM messages, and we will be more than happy to provide you assistance with your Meta account there. We want to help you get back to enjoying VR gaming as soon as possible.

I send them my Meta Quest 3 headset for accepted by them warranty replacement and I got email from Purolator notifying me that package was delivered. I don't know what happened over there but they didn't send me any confirmation and now I'm going through hell to get my headset back. i sent tons of emails for which I got very uninformative and vague answers, every time answered by different agent. If I knew what kind of trouble I would go through I would never buy this VR headset. Right now I'm ready to start a lawsuit in Small Cort because I don't see any other solution.
