How do I fix this recording glitch on Quest 2 that makes me lag constantly while recording?

I have tried everything from restarting my headset, changing my recording settings, and even factory resetting my headset, but nothing seems to work. I also don’t have a PC so I can’t use any solutions involving that. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Hey @chadsticc

We see that you are having recording issues. This is definitely not the experience we want our customers to have and would like to work with you to make sure you are pointed in the right direction. We do want to inform you that when you activate experimental settings they are still going through a testing phase and could cause issues. Usually the only way to fix this is to do a factory reset on the device, but let us not jump to that step just yet. To get a better idea of what is going on could you please provide us with the following information:

 

  • If you could send a video of what it is you are experiencing that would help.
  • Have you tried any troubleshooting steps yourself?
  • Have you tried recording in another room? Preferably in one closer to your router.
  • Are you casting while recording?
  • Have you tried rebooting your router?
  • Could you try disconnecting some of your devices that are connected to your Wi-Fi and try it again?

As soon as you get back to us with this information we can move on to the next steps.

I have troubleshooted and factory resetting didn’t work.

That's a bit strange.

Can you please provide this information:

  • Username/alias on your Meta Quest account
  • Full name on your Meta Quest account
  • Email on your Meta Quest account
