I went from Quest 1 to Quest 3 and when casting/recording, instead of showing the B&W breakthrough it would just show a black 'void'.
On Quest when in your home UI and switch to passthrough camera the casting/recording will record it as well. I don't want to show passthrough cameras unless I'm casting/recording a mixed reality game. Is there a way to turn that off?
Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. I just found a YT video that shows the boundary and the pass-through recordings are linked

So it looks like the only way to disable the pass-through recording is to turn off the boundary?

Hey there, @Gruntled! We understand you'd like to be able to turn passthrough off unless you are casting or recording in mixed reality. We've got you covered! In order to do that, you are going to want to turn on the Double Tap for Passthrough shortcut. This will allow you to turn passthrough on or off by tapping either the left or right side of your Meta Quest 3 twice.
To turn on the Double Tap for Passthrough shortcut:

@MetaQuestSupportthanks for the reply. I did already have the double tap for passthrough shortcut on. But if passthrough is on it will show up on the casting/recording, which I don't want.

Hi @Gruntled would a black void environment give you the effect you're looking for?

Hey @Gruntled, it does look like after digging into this some more, there does not appear to be official settings options for what you are trying to do. There may be other apps or options for you to look into that may provide what you are looking for, but nothing we can officially support at this time. We hope you are able to find something that works for your casting and recording needs. If you need anything else in the future, please reach back out and we will be happy to work with you again!

Hey again, @Gruntled!
We're happy to see that you found a workaround, but as we previously stated, there aren't official setting options for what you're trying to do, so we can't confirm or deny that turning off the boundary disables pass-through recording. We don't recommend turning off the boundary because it's a built-in safety feature that lets you set up virtual walls that appear when you get too close to the edge of your play area, but you're more than welcome to try it. We hope it works for you, but just in case it doesn't, this link here will help you set up your boundary for Quest 3 again.
If there's anything else we can do to help you, feel free to reach out to us at anytime because we'd love to lend you a hand! For now, we hope that you have a great day!

OK thank you . I just posted it in the Ideas forum for that feature to be added.

if that would be true, there wouldn't be years old threads still complaining about annoying and unnecessary stuff like the forced user profil selection everytime you put the quest down fir
